Welcome to another installment of me telling you about my latest guilty pleasure; watching Gene Simmons on the reality show “Celebrity Apprentice.”
This week Gene ruffled some feathers and took a few risks but ultimately led the guys to another victory. But, didn’t look to hot for Gene and the boys for awhile though.
After they were tasked with creating Read the rest of this entry

If you like cocky, ultra smooth and unapologetic rock stars and celebs matching wits with billionaire Donald Trump, then you will dig the show Celebrity Apprentice. Gene Simmons in particular makes viewing a real treat.
Being referred to as the “secret weapon” by actor and teammate Stephen Baldwin, Gene plays lets his presence be known in the first episode.
First, he impressed The Don by coining his teams name – “Hydra.” Second, while all of the other celebrity’s argued Read the rest of this entry

This almost pains me to discuss American Idol because I think the show is a tad bit cheesy. However this is the Musicgoat and there were some good music moments on last nights show.
First, I want to give it up 17 year old sweetheart Jordin. She really brought it and performed with a ton of emotion over the past few nights and you know as well as I do that that is the ticket in music. Every song seem to be in parallel with what she was experiencing. She has a bright future. Oh and is Ryan Seacrest that short or is Jordin just that tall? Find funny seeing them stand next to each other.
Blake on the other hand seemed to be a little out of his element. I almost felt bad that he had to sing the final song. It just wasn’t him. It would be like having Justin Timberlake sing a bad Celine Dion song. They should have let him arrange it ala “You Give Love A Bad Name.” He may have improved the tune and had a fighting chance.
Speaking of the song “This is My Now.” Is it just me or does every American Idol finale song sound the same, sterile. Maybe if it was stripped down and intimate with o lot less orchestra.
Chris Daughtry closed the first show and showed everyone that he is the true idol from last years show. He is everywhere, and outside of a few Ford commercials, I haven’t heard anything from the people that finished in front of him. Things always seem to find a way of correcting themselves if you let them.
Joe Perry and Kelly Clarkson doing a Beatles song. Anything is possible. Wonder if he was able to have a few drinks with her after the show (wink, wink).
One last thing, I don’t care what anyone says about Simon. The guys is a genius and his honesty is refreshing. I would love to have the guy critique my gigs.

A few weeks back a friend of mine sent a “name the hair band” quiz to me. I tried it out and learned something interesting about myself. I figured I would pass the quiz on to you but before I do… you wanna hear something funny?
I had zero wrong.
Now I wasn’t completely surprised by my wizardry since my head was constantly buried in Hit Parader and Circus magazines back then but it does raise a question. What is wasted youth? I’m sure there are better ways to waste ones youth but this certainly ranks up there.
Anyway, good or not, this stuff is fun. I will just throw it in the guilty pleasures bin along with a the Loverboy and Kenny Rogers cd’s in the collection.
Before you laugh to hard you might want to give it a try.
